(Classroom and Livestream Event) This seminar will describe the epidemiology of Zika virus disease including background of virus, methods of transmission, clinical presentation and high risk group. The presenters will also describe protocols for human testing including types of assays, criteria for testing, protocol for submitting specimens and interpretation of results. And, it will describe protocols for human surveillance including communication of confirmed cases and response of public health, healthcare and vector control partners to minimize secondary transmission.
