Members of the Executive Board of the New Jersey Public Health Association met with Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. and his Chief of Staff, Janice G. Fuller on Sept 1st in Long Branch to discuss critical issues affecting public health in New Jersey. Congressman Pallone was praised by the Board members for being one of the greatest supporters of public health in the House of Representatives. Our goal was to talk about the importance of solid funding for public health. This was done as part of the American Public Health Association’s Public Health ACTion (PHACT) campaign to reach out to congressional leaders during the congressional recess to express support for protecting critical funding for public health agencies and the Prevention and Public Health Fund.
